Carl L. Peth III 69 of Ormond Beach FL passed away on July 31 2010 at his home. A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Thursday August 5th at 4:30 pm at Lohman Funeral Home 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach (386) 673-1100. Carl was born on April 12 1941 in Chicago Illinois to Carl and Ada (Sieg) Peth. He relocated to Volusia County in 2003 from Valley Lee Maryland. He was a retired Labor Union Assistant Vice President he was a member of SAYSF Bible Church in Lexington Park MD where he served as a Deacon and taught Bible study he also attended St. Andrew's Chapel Sanford FL. Carl served as a Merchant Marine and in the Army National Guard. He was very active in serving his community though services such as PTSA and the Pregnancy Care Center in MD he was an avid reader loved to study the bible and listen to music especially Christian music. He always had a big hug and a smile for everyone he met; he had a great sense of humor and will be lovingly remembered as a gentleman a loving husband father brother and friend. Carl is survived by his wife of 39 years Gladys E. Peth Ormond Beach FL daughter Gretchen Peth Orlando FL son Lance Cpl. Joel Torres USMC Camp Lejeune SC brother Steven Peth and his wife Julie Weston of Port Orange FL two sisters Penny Edwards Memphis TN and Karen Hardy and her husband John Baton Rouge LA as well as his grand-dog Noah.
