Carl Nance 89 of Port Orange passed away July 27 2013. Carl was born July 25 1924 in Cowden IL to Richard and Bessie Taylor Nance. Carl served in the US Navy during World War II. He married Catherine "Kay" Willham in Pekin IL on February 14 1946. Carl retired from his position of Junior Outside Plant Engineer at the Centel Telephone Company of Illinois in 1982. He and Kay relocated to Port Orange in 1983. Carl was a member of CrossRoads Baptist Church Port Orange. Carl is survived by his wife of 67 years Catherine and their three sons: David Nance (wife Linda) Terry Nance (wife Elizabeth) and Michael Nance (wife Donna). Carl is also survived by his sister Betty Prytiscosh of Pekin IL; two granddaughters: Sherry Leonard of Peoria IL and Shelli Hoyle of Pekin IL; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements are under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange. Inurnment will be privately held at Daytona Memorial Park.
