A Memorial Service honoring Cameron will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday January 21st at Volusia Speedway Park; 1500 West State Road 40 De Leon Springs FL approximately 20 minutes West of Ormond Beach.
Cameron was born on March 23 1999 in Ormond Beach FL to Patricia and Shane Brenneman. He attended Ormond Beach Middle School enjoyed skateboarding scootering surfing fishing drawing and camping with family and friends. He dearly loved animals. Most of all Cameron loved racing. His love for racing started out at a young age with his dad Shane. His dad would bring him to all the NASCAR races where Jeff Gordon quickly became his favorite driver. At one race Jeff Gordon tossed Cameron a bottle of Gatorade Cameron opened it took a drink then later realized he should have had Jeff sign the bottle . He began racing when his stepfather introduced him to Quarter Midgets and quickly moved on to Go-kart racing at Volusia Speedway Park. He was rookie of the year track champion and held track record for Quarter Midgets. Cameron also won the "Little 500" at the end of the Quarter Midget season at New Smyrna Speedway in 2007 where he finished with only 3 losses that season. In go-carts Cameron won first place at the last points race of the 2011 season. He quickly impressed and celebrated with his driving mentors Blaise and Denica as being the one who won on both dirt and asphalt.
Cameron had an infectious personality; he was a true "people person" he never met a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. Cameron would give all he had to help an animal or anyone less fortunate then himself. He will be greatly missed by his family friends and the entire racing community.
