Caleb Lee Cornett, 19 of Ormond Beach, quietly passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 at his home.

He was born on September 20, 2002 in Point Pleasant, WV to Dustin and Tammy Cornett. Caleb was a recent graduate of the Richard Milburn Academy in Daytona Beach.

Caleb loved cars. Whether he was working on cars, driving cars, admiring cars, or talking about cars, the daily topic or plan usually involved some sort of car activity. More than cars however Caleb loved his family, and he showed that through his caring, compassionate, funny, and laid back personality. Sometimes it was easy for Caleb to lose his focus on a project, become sidetracked or lose his train of thought, but one thing he was always able to focus on was caring for his friends and family. He never lost sight of the deep love he had for others.

In addition to his parents Dustin and Tammy, Caleb will be sorely missed by his sister Kayli Harris; grandparents, Dennis and Glenda Cornett, Shirley and Don Mash, Kathryn Moore, and Robert and Jodie Moore; Great-Grandparents: Mildred & Jack Althen, Jess & Phylis Moore, Glenn & Kathryn Steele, and Margaret Plantz;  uncles: Jon Good and his wife Sarah, Heath Good and his wife Susie, Justin & Christine Cornett, Robert & Angela Moore, Tony Thacker, Nick Thacker, and Danny Mash; and his aunts, Susann Moore, and Mandy & Ryan Hamon. Caleb will also be fondly remembered and mourned by many other close family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents Woodrow and Patricia Cornett.

A funeral service will be conducted 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Ormond Beach chapel of Lohman Funeral Homes, 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach, FL with Chaplain Mark Spivey officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 pm the day of the service.
