Funeral services for Burrel King 81 of Ormond Beach FL who passed away on Friday July 27 2007 at the Hospice Care Center Port Orange will be held at 11:00am Wednesday August 1 2007 at Daytona Funeral Home 1423 Bellevue Ave Daytona Beach FL with burial to follow at Daytona Memorial Park. Viewing for Mr. King will be Tuesday July 31 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home. Mr. King was born on November 2 1925 in Beattyville KY the son of the late Henry & Helen King and was one of 15 children. He moved to Daytona Beach area in 1970 from Dayton KY He was a retied owner of a taxicab company and an auto body repair shop. He was an Army WWII Veteran and he enjoyed gardening designing sand sculptures and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by two sons Victor & Mike King. Survivors include his wife of 63 years Ruby of Ormond Beach; his sisters: Edna Bowling & Thema Foster both of Ormond Beach; two grandchildren: Kim Hall-Harter of Ormond Bch & Victor King of Daytona Bch and two great-granchildren: Laken & Lacey Hall of Ormond Bch.
