Obituary

Budd Neviaser M.D. 78 of Edgewater a longtime area resident passed away peacefully on July 13 2012 at Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler after a lengthy illness. Budd was born in Washington D.C. and graduated from George Washington University School of Medicine. He was a practicing orthopedic surgeon until his retirement in 1994. An avid hunter and fisherman retirement gave him the opportunity to pursue his lifelong passions. He obtained his certified captain's license and operated his own charter fishing boat. He was a member of the Florida Guides Association and was the East Coast Vice President. He was also a member of the Coastal Conservation Association the National Association of Charter Boat Operators a former member of the Halifax Sport fishing Club and a former International Game Fish Association Certified Captain. Budd was a member of Christ Community Church New Smyrna Beach.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years Deborah of Edgewater; sons Julius Neviaser (Phyllis) of South Daytona; James Neviaser of Oviedo; Michael Neviaser of Monticello Georgia; brothers Robert Neviaser M.D. of Germantown MD; and Thomas Neviaser M.D. of Rixeyville VA. He is also survived by two granddaughters Lyndsey and Lauryn Neviaser of Winter Springs. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Halifax Health Hospice of Volusia/Flagler 4140 South Ridgewood Avenue Edgewater FL 32141.
