Funeral Service for Bruce Dean Thomas 68 of Ormond Beach who passed away on Tuesday May 23 2006 will be held Saturday May 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Chapel. His family will receive friends on Friday May 26th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Bruce was born on March 13 1938 in North English Iowa and moved to this area from Oklahoma City with his family in 1973. Bruce graduated in 1960 from the University of Miami and a member of Sigma Nu Fraternity. He was a past Master Masonic Lodge #326 in Ormond Beach member of the Daytona Beach York Rite Bodies Scottish Rite Masons a past Potentate Bahia Shrine in 1986 past Director Royal Order of Jesters Orlando Court #166 past President Jesters of Florida Past President Southeastern and Florida Patrol Shrine Associations Past President Westchester IL Kiwanis Club 1965 and member of the Daytona Beach Kiwanis Club since 1973. Bruce was a financial advisor for Smith Barney and had been in the business for 45 years. Bruce was many things to many people. He was loved by his friends and family and will be greatly missed. Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Alyce Savage Thomas his daughters Alyce Lee Stansbury James of Tallahassee FL and Virginia Palmer Geoff of Cincinnati OH; his grandchildren Caroline & Jack Palmer and Thomas Stansbury his sister Margaret Squires of Des Moines IA his sister in law Eva Lee Savage of Boca Raton FL and his mother in law Frances ?Granny? Savage of Holly Hill FL.
