Bruce E. McCahill 55 of South Daytona and East Granby CT. passed away Sunday morning April 26th at Shands Hospital in Gainesville. His family will receive friends from 600 till 800pm on Friday May 1st as part of a celebration of his life in the chapel of Baggett & Summers Funeral Home. Bruce fought a valiant yet quiet battle with cancer and its complications for the past several years. He worked for the past 20 plus years for the Volusia County School Board as a facility maintainance technician at Mainland High School.

He was a behind the scenes kind of guy and he holds a prominent place in the hearts of all who knew him. His smile and sense of humor his cooking his caring and his friendship will be sorely missed.
Son of Dorothy and the late Eugene he is survived by his son Craig of Rockville/Vernon CT. his 3 brothers; Brad of Woodstock GA. Mark of Jacksonville FL and Steven of East Granby CT. Also surviving is his friend Rick Sylvia his stepdaughter Kim and Craig's godfather John Koteas.
