Bruce James age 57 of South Daytona went to join his Lord January 12 2011. Bruce will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held at 3 p.m. on February 5 at Covenant United Methodist Church 3701 South Clyde Morris Blvd Port Orange.
Bruce grew up in Stratford New Jersey and began playing drums in Sterling High School. It became the joy of his life. Bruce moved to Daytona Beach in 1976. He began working in Lithography at Tip Top Printing with his pre-deceased father Lester James.
Those left to cherish the memory of Bruce are two daughters Vanessa Blaine of Palm Coast Corinne Jarvis of Gainesville son Christopher James of Kingwood Texas five grandchildren his mother Doris James of South Daytona sister and brother-in-law Jo-ann and Martin Honerlaw nephews Jason Derek and Kyle Honerlaw of Daytona Beach.
Bruce was an active member of Covenant United Methodist Church and played the drums there for many years.
In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler County or Covenant United Methodist Church.
