Brian Jason McFarlane, age 49, of Port Orange, Florida, was called home to the Lord on January 22, 2026. Formerly of Flint, Michigan, Brian was a graduate of Kearsley High School, Class of 1995, and later attended Baker University in Flint, Michigan.
Brian devoted the greater part of his working life to landscaping and lawn care, work he approached with diligence and humility. He enjoyed hockey and was a devoted supporter of the Detroit Red Wings. More importantly, Brian cherished his role as a father and valued time spent with family.
Brian is survived by his three children; Alexis, Marcus and Gage; his mother, Suzette Duncan and her husband, James, brother, Roderick Lee McFarlane II, along with extended family including step brother, Michael Duncan, step sister, Daniele Hunkins, companion Rose and many dearly loved friends. His father, Roderick Lee McFarlane, Sr. ascended to heaven prior to him in 2021 may they both join back together in eternal life. The family humbly asks for prayers for the repose of his soul.
Family and friends are invited to offer condolences on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with a wake service and prayers for the deceased at 2:00 PM, at Lohman Funeral Home, 935 E. New York Ave., DeLand, Florida 32724.

A Traditional Catholic Requiem Mass will be offered for the repose of Brian's soul at 11:00 AM on Monday, February 2, 2026, at The Basilica of St. Paul, Daytona Beach, Florida.
Burial will follow at DeLand Memorial Gardens, DeLand, Florida, where prayers of committal will be offered.
Arrangements are entrusted to Lohman Funeral Home, 935 E. New York Ave., DeLand, FL 32724.
