Bonnie K. Smith 85 of South Daytona FL passed away January 22 2012. She was born in Burke County NC and relocated to the Daytona area in 1963 from Greensboro NC. Bonnie was a retired home health care aid and companion and member of the Joy Sunday school class at Central Baptist Church. She loved growing and nurturing plants and was an avid doll collector and ceramic crafter having made hand-painted and dressed many of the dolls in her collection. In recent years she contented herself making colorful bead jewelry to share with family and friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband Russell E. Smith and is survived by her son Larry (June) Keaton Mililani HI; daughters Sylvia Keaton Greensboro NC and Marjie (George) Treaster South Daytona; brothers John (Audrey) Ward Holly Hill and Wayne Ward Daytona Beach; sister Helen Blankenship Morganton NC; granddaughter Shannon Keaton and great-grandchildren Shaelyn and Tyler Keaton.
A memorial service will be held Saturday February 4th 2 PM at Central Baptist Church 152 Fairview Ave Daytona Beach.
