Funeral Service for Betty J. Yates age 67 of Ormond Beach who passed away Saturday September 10 2005 at Hospice of Volusia/Flagler in Port Orange will be held Friday September 16th 2005 at 10:00am at the Lohman Funeral Home Chapel with Rabbi David Kane officiating. Betty was predeceased by her beloved husband Alan Yates she was the devoted mother of Lori and David Kleinerman of Chicago doting grandmother to Hannah and Max and dear sister of Barbara Elazari of Phoenix. A native of Montreal Canada Mrs. Yates moved to this area along with her husband in 1977. She worked for Florida Child Protective Services of Volusia County for many years. She enjoyed helping people who were in difficult circumstances. Her greatest achievement was the Fresh Start program at Daytona Beach Community College.
