Betty Morris Tucker passed away at her home in Ormond Beach on Tuesday July 13 2004. A funeral service will be held on Friday July 16 2004 at 2:00 p.m. in Ormond Beach Presbyterian Church with Reverend Debra Henning officiating along with Reverend Calvin Gittner and Reverend Hal Marchman.

Born in Atlanta GA on April 28 1922 to Charles and Nell Morris; Betty lived life with a wonderful joy. A resident of Ormond Beach for over 50 years Betty has touched the lives of so many people throughout her community. As a member of the Halifax River Yacht Club Daughters of the American Revolution Oceanside Country Club and the Ormond Historical Society; she has made many lasting relationships. Betty was also a charter member of the Sowing Circle and the Do Nothing Club. Mrs. Tucker played the piano at First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach and at the Halifax River Yacht Club on their Birthday Nights. Of special delight to Betty was her role as Mrs. Claus in numerous Christmas activities throughout Ormond and Daytona. An avid traveler Betty traveled the world extensively with her husband Ben a long time businessman and civic leader in Ormond Beach.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband Ben and her son Tom Tucker. Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Betty Ann Davis of Atlanta GA; brother Marc Betty Jo Morris of Atlanta GA; 7 grandchildren Shane Ashley Amy and Preston Davis all of Atlanta GA Tommy Tucker of Flagler Beach FL Meghan Tucker of Destin FL and Betsey Tucker of Madison GA; 5 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and many special friends from over the years.
