Betty "June" Trott
Betty June Trott, 76, a longtime resident of Ormond beach, died in her home September 22, 2017 after a long
battle with Alzheimer's. She was born in Anniston, Alabama on July 1st, 1941 to Amos and Flora Ledbetter. At the age of 15, she married Thomas, and as a military wife in the beginning, she raised their three children. In 1972, after a short stint in Atlanta, She and Tom moved to Ormond Beach. A few years later she and Tom opened Trott's Carpet and operated a well-respected family business where she enjoyed working with customers and designers. She herself, became very involved with design during her time working at the store. She is survived by her three children: Shawn Trott (Tiffany) of Port Orange, Thomas Trott Jr. (Lynda) of Port Orange and Pam Trott of Ormond Beach. Also, she is survived by her twin sister (Jean Gammon) of Ormond Beach and ten grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband
Tom Trott of 61 years, sister Dot Kelly, brothers Jack and Billy Ledbetter. For family and friends, there will be a viewing on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Lohman's Funeral Home Ormond, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. On Wednesday, September 27, 2017 Lohman's will host a celebration of life, which will be held at 11 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Volusia Memorial Park.
