Betty L. Speidel age 82 a lifetime resident of Daytona Beach passed away peacefully in her home on Friday June 5 2009. A funeral service in her honor will be held Thursday June 11 2009; 1:00 PM at the Daytona Chapel of the Lohman Funeral Home followed by an interment at Daytona Memorial Park North. Visitation will be held Wednesday June 10. 2009; 5:00 - 7:00 PM.
Betty was born in Daytona Beach to Paul and Gladys Lemon she attended Daytona Beach Community College and dedicated her talent as a Unit Clerk for Halfax Medical Center until her retirement. She was a proud member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Holly Hill and a devoted mother grandmother and great grandmother. Betty will best be remembered for her love of animals dedication to her church family and a strong will. Her love of life stood as an inspiration to all who knew her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory 4 children: Shirley Roberts and her husband Bill Daniel Wilkes and his wife Sallie Richard Speidel and Scott Speidel 3 granddaughters; Michelle McCraney Jennifer Reyes and Laura Florio 5 great grandchildren 2 sisters: Gail McGrane of Port St. Lucie FL and Gloria Young of Live Oaks FL and her canine companion Pete.
