Betty Louise Scully ( nee Lyon) age 85 passed into eternal rest on January 7 2010 in Orange City Florida. She was born on January 17 1924 in Matamoras Pennsylvania to Harold Raymond Lyon and Ethel Belcher Lyon.

Betty was a 1942 graduate of Matamoras High School and Binghamton General Hospital School of Nursing in 1945. She and Jack her husband were proprietors of Scully's Motel and Restaurant from 1950-1980. Upon retirement from the restaurant business she and her husband relocated to Lake Helen Florida where they enjoyed a long and active retirement. She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Christ in Lake Helen and a resident of the Lake Helen Villa for 25 years. Betty touched the lives of many people and all who knew her loved her. She was a devoted spouse wonderful mother and grandmother and loyal friend to many. She will be sorely missed.

She is survived by four children: Christopher J. Scully Jr. (Jack) his wife Susan of Eldred NY; James Edward Scully his wife Cynthia of Bakersfield CA; Dr. Janis M. Scully her husband Bart of Fayetteville NY; and Barbara Rog her husband Bill of Burbank CA; a brother; Raymond Lyon his wife Carol of Matamoras PA; 10 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by: her husband of 52 years Christopher John Scully Sr. (Jack) a sister Grace Hoff formerly of Lake Helen FL and a son Michael Joseph Scully formerly of Sparrowbush NY.
