Obituary

Betty Lane Reeves Lieblich, 85, of Palm Coast, Florida, died at home on Friday, October 2, 2015 with both of her daughters by her side. She was born in Rutledge, Alabama on February 9, 1930 to Tom and Luna Reeves. She is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Maxson Robison (and her husband Dick) and Jana Bearden Weber (and her husband Mike), two grandchildren Megan Bearden Stamps (and her husband Shane) and Brandon Michael Bearden. She also got to meet her first great-granddaughter Harper Lane Stamps who brought her so much joy in the last few months of her life. She has one surviving sibling, Gail Reeves Davis of Douglas, Georgia. She also leaves behind her constant companion of 4 years, Maddie, a rescue toy poodle that brought much joy and comfort to her life. They are all better for having her in their lives. She lived most of her life in and around West Palm Beach, Florida. Her daughters moved her to Atlanta, Georgia in 2006 to be closer to them and she recently moved to Palm Coast, Florida with her daughter Kathy. She had many interests throughout her life and could do most anything she put her mind to. She was well-known for being able to grow anything; she especially enjoyed growing orchids and at one time had a green-house with over 100 orchids. Her family has many momentoes of her many hobbies such as stained glass, hand-made quilts, pillows and knitted items. All of her friends and family loved to be served a meal she cooked as she was a gourmet cook. Anyone who met her will surely have a funny story to tell; she was full of what her family referred to as nana'isms'. Her daughters will host a celebration of life' in early February 2016 to coincide with what would have been her 86th birthday. Family and friends will be requested to bring their special stories and pictures to share with everyone. And of course, Margaritas (her favorite drink) will be served. Arrangements are under the care of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast. Please sign the guest book at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Betty Lane's name to Vitas Hospice Care, 4 Old Kings Road, Palm Coast, FL 32137.
