Betty Lou Beech Hollis died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family Thursday April 16 after 90 years life love and laughter.
Betty born December 28 1918 in Daytona Beach married Charles Eugene Hollis (deceased) September 22 1939. She raised her family in Daytona Beach and retired from a long career with Sears Roebuck in 1985. Betty was the rock of her family and leaves a legacy of unconditional love unyielding strength and relentless generosity that was experienced by all who knew her. As her final days drew near around the clock care by her daughter Beth Hollis and her loving friend Shearline Sanders allowed Betty to fulfill her wish to remain at home.
She is survived by her son Gene Hollis (Sandy Warren) of Tampa her daughter Beth Hollis of Daytona Beach her grandchildren Dr. Stephanie Hollis (Brian Bosley) of St Augustine Detective Preston Hollis (Amy) of Tampa Robin Hollis of Atlanta and her great grandchildren Peyton and Cooper Hollis of Tampa. Her service and interment will be held privately.
In celebration of her tremendous love of animals the family asks in lieu of flowers donations be made in her name to THE ARNI FOUNDATION 600 Mason Av. Daytona Beach FL 32114.
