Obituary

Betty Anne Hogle beloved daughter of Marion and the late Francis M. Hogle Jr. born July 27 1946 in Jacksonville Florida passed away peacefully on September 16 2012 in New York City where she resided most of her adult life. A funeral service in her honor will be held on Friday September 21 2012 at 11:00 A.M at Baggett and Summers Funeral Home 736 S. Beach Street Daytona Beach FL. Betty graduated from Seabreeze Senior High School in 1964. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from Vassar College in 1968 and went on to earn her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School in 1970. After graduation Betty traveled to India and Nepal on invitational status with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). Upon returning to New York City Betty began her new position as Market Research Consultant for Robert S. First Inc. an international consulting firm. In 1973 Betty joined Pfizer Pharmaceuticals where she advanced to the position of Director of Global Strategic Planning. After retiring from Pfizer Betty attended Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) in New York City to rekindle her initial interest in fashion. While in New York Betty was active in the NY Chapter of the Planning Forum The Vassar Club of NY The Harvard Business School Club of Greater NY and the Harvard Business School Network of Women Alumni. In 2012 Betty served as Executive Council Chair for Waterside Tenants Association. Betty was loved and respected by her friends and colleagues. Betty's love of travel led her across the United States and throughout the globe. Betty is survived by her mother Marion Ringrose Uthoff Hogle; her older brother and family Francis Miland Hogle III Janet Westover Hogle Francis Hogle IV and Thomas Hogle; her younger brother and family Charles Uthoff Hogle Janice Lloyd McGowan Hogle Kendra Sterner Matthew Hogle and their children.
