Betty Hinton-Reichenbach 81 of Port Orange FL passed away on Thursday January 21 2010. Memorial Service will be held Monday January 25th at 7:00pm at the Lohman Funeral Home in Port Orange Chaplin Mark Spivey officiating. Memorial Gathering for family and friends will be held Monday January 25th from 6-7pm.
Betty was born in Atlanta GA and moved to Port Orange in 1964. She worked at Southern Bell Telephone as a switchboard operator before moving to Florida with her husband and son. She was the owner/operator of Daytona Beach Shores Variety and Five and Dime for 25 years. Betty volunteered and served with the Ladies Auxiliary with Halifax Hospital for many years. She lived at the Admiralty Club and served as a Board Member for the past 2 years and was a caring friend to all her neighbors. Betty was a loving wife mother grandmother aunt and sister to her family.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents John & Ora Hardy Connor previous husband Jack Hinton & 3 brothers & sisters. Survivors include her husband Ray Reichenbach; son John C. Hinton of Port Orange FL; grandson Matthew Hinton of Port Orange FL; sister Evelyn Connor Thomas of Peachtree City GA; special niece Vicki Reynolds of Senoia GA; nephew Richard F. Hinton of San Antonio TX; several great nieces and nephews.
