Betty M. Bumbarger age 82 passed away on May 25 2011. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A "Celebration of Life" memorial will be held in Betty's honor June 6 2011 at the First United Methodist Church of Port Orange.
Betty was born in Orrville Ohio on May 31 1928. When she was one year old her family moved to Swissvale PA. Betty graduated from Swissvale High School and continued her education at Braddock School of Nursing and graduated with a Degree in Nursing. Betty also attended the college with her focus on Business. In 1967 She moved to Daytona Beach where she became a long-time resident.
Betty was a beloved mother. She was an active member of the Owls of the First Methodist Church and a member of the "Love Circle" and the PA Club
Those left to cherish her memory are one son-in-law Thomas McMichael two grandsons Mark and Shawn McMichael of Port Orange one sister Cecelia Kellerberg of Clearwater one nephew William and two nieces Daryl and Nalana.
Betty is predeceased by her loving husband Francis in 1973 and one daughter Michele in 2003.
Arrangements are under the entrusted care of Cardwell Funeral Home.
Betty asked that in lieu of flowers that a charitable donation be made to the Humane Society of Daytona Beach or the First United Methodist Church of Port Orange.
