Funeral Services for Betty Bishop age 83 who passed away Friday August 27 2010 will be Wed. September 1st at 2pm at Lohman Funeral Home Port Orange. Her family will receive friends from 1-2pm preceding the service. Interment will follow at Osteen Cemetery. Betty was born to Elmer and Jessie Hayman on April 13 1927 the fifth generation of her family to be born in Deland FL. She lived in Florida all her life and most recently moved to this area from Miami Lakes. Betty will always be remembered as an amazing mother. From her involvement as her daughter's girl scout troop leader to her talented gourmet cooking she was always there for her family. Betty was happily married to her husband Warren for 53 years and together they traveled the world in part because Betty worked as a Pan Am Flight Attendant. She is survived by three children daughters Jessica Bishop of New Smyrna Beach FL Barbara Bishop of Apopka FL and son Warren Bishop of New Smyrna Beach FL. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Warren who passed away in April 2008.
