Funeral service for Betty Marie Meyer Benedict Age 80 of Daytona Beach who died on Friday at Halifax Medical Center will be held on Wednesday June 7th 1:00PM with Rev. Bob Moorehead officiating. Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11:00 to 1:00pm and Lohman Funeral Home Daytona 1423 Bellevue Avenue Daytona Beach FL. Burial will be in Daytona Memorial Park Cemetery.

Betty was born April 20 1926 in St. Augustine to Ellen M. and Edward L. Meyer where her father was Assistant Keeper at the St. Augustine Lighthouse. She moved to Daytona Beach as a child. She was a lifetime resident of the Daytona area. Her father was the last Civilian Keeper at the Ponce De Leon Inlet Lighthouse. She graduated from Seabreeze High School. After graduation she worked in the family business known as ?Chief Meyers Fishing Camp and Restaurant? in Ponce Inlet.

She is survived by her daughter; Teresa Baughman Two Granddaughters; Alicia and Angela Baughman all of Charleston SC Two Sisters; Gladys Davis of Ponce Inlet and Mary Taylor of Winter Springs.
