Betty G. Arendt

Betty Arendt of Port Orange passed away on March 15, 2025 surrounded by her loving family at home.

Betty was born July 27, 1926 in Highland Park, IL. to Gerald & Violet (Chambers) Lichtenberger. She graduate from Highland Park High School.

She married Ted Arendt (deceased) on Dec. 30, 1944. They had 2 children Rita (Tom) Mehegan, Daytona Beach, FL and Linda Foryster (Dan) St. Anne, IL. Betty had 2 Grandchildren Thomas (Martha) Mehegan & Christopher Mehegan. She also had 3 Great-Grandchildren Gavin, Addison & Grady Mehegan.

Betty loved to play cards with family & friends. She also had a passion for sewing & quilting. She belonged to several groups in the Port Orange Area.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 4 siblings.

She is survived by her 2 Daughters, Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren and 1 sister.

Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, Port Orange, FL. Date TBD. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lohman Funeral Home (Daytona)
