Betty A. Johnson of Port Orange, Florida, passed away on January 4, 2022. She was born in Macon, Georgia on April 18, 1948.

She lived in Pompano Beach, and graduated from Bethune-Cookman College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.  She worked for seventeen years at Florida Power and Light, and gained an enormous interest in helping the public.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, and was a choir director for the youth and children. Betty was also a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.  She enjoyed working with children and raising animals.

She is survived by Steve Salomon Johnson, Reginald Johnson, Bobby Johnson, Belinda Johnson, Kenneth Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson; cousins Nancy Barnes, Estella Barnes, Patricia Barnes, Evonne Barnes, and many nieces and nephews.
