Bettie Rowland 81 of Port Orange died on March 29 2008. Bettie was born June 29 1926 to the late John and Ora Twigg in Rainsburg PA and raised by her beloved aunt and uncle Virgil and Zella Smith. She enjoyed reading and word puzzles but her favorite pastime was spent playing bingo and the slot machines. Of all her passions in life her family and the time spent with them brought her the most joy. Bettie leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 34 years David; children Carolyne Forman Jacqueline Bernstein Randall Zucker Philip Rowland Karri Little and Brent Rowland and siblings Dean Kate Raymond Fred Rebecca Gerald Marlene and John. She is also survived by her loving grandchildren Rae Lynne Robin Matthew Erica Grant Brett Jordan Kelsie Corrie Michael Trevor Ira and Wendy and great grandchildren Shelby Alyssa Mitchell Lucy Claire Owen Hadyn Rose and Dia. Bettie was preceded in death by her first husband of 27 years Isaac Zucker and siblings Bob Buck Dorothy and Eddie. Memorial donations may be made in honor of Bettie to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler.
