In Loving Memory of Bette Louise Rougeau August 19, 1930 – June 26, 2025
With deep sadness and enduring love, we announce the passing of Bette Louise Rougeau, who departed this life on June 26, 2025, at the age of 94. She passed peacefully at Paradise Pointe in Ormond Beach, Florida, surrounded by love.

Born on August 19, 1930, Bette spent much of her life in Wisconsin, where she dedicated 28 years as a devoted Legal Secretary. She later made Florida her home, continuing her lifelong commitment to public service through six years with the Volusia County Election Board. Always led by compassion, she also volunteered with VITAS Hospice, offering care and comfort to those in need.

Bette is survived by her beloved daughters, Cheryl Pike (Tom) and Nancy Yuhas; and her cherished grandchildren, Robert Pike, Trevor Yuhas (Melinda), Tyler Yuhas (Heather), Trista Meier (Bryan), and Derek Gizewski (Holly). She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Robert Rougeau; her mother Charlotte Majeski, her father Warren Turner; her daughter, Cindee Richardson; and her son-in-law, Martin Yuhas.

She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, and the unwavering love she gave to family and friends alike. Her memory was razor-sharp, her humor quick and bright, and her eyes never lost that playful spark. The ache in our hearts is immeasurable, yet we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her husband Bob, the love of her life, who left too soon.

Bette touched every life she encountered with warmth, grace, and authenticity. She made the ordinary feel extraordinary. Her legacy of love and laughter lives on through all those who had the privilege to know her.
In accordance with her wishes, Bette's ashes will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at Arlington National Cemetery.  Bette's wish was to have donations made to Halifax Hospice in gratitude for the compassionate care they provided over the past three years.  A private Memorial will be held late this summer for the immediate family to celebrate her remarkable life.
