Beth Wingard Smith was born August 5, 1963 and passed away on June 14, 2022. Beth was a native Daytonan until two years and three months ago, when she married the love of her life, Darrell Smith and relocated to Jessup, Georgia. Darrell was a wonderful and dedicated husband to Beth.

She was a majorette at Ormond Junior High School, a member of the homecoming court of 1981 and a graduate of Seabreeze High School, Class of 1981. She was a kind, gentle lady. She was a Camp Director and Coordinator of Central Baptist Church Camp with dedication to all children and teenagers. She counseled them as a loving friend to help them along their way in life.

Cody Nelsen Swartzfagar was her only child. She dedicated her life to him. She was a sweet, loving mother who treasured Cody with all of her heart. Cody and his brother Blaine preceded her in death.

Beth is survived by her husband, Darrell Smith, of Jessup, Georgia; her mother and father, Jackie L. and Betty Wingard; her bonus children, Latisha and Seth Richard; grandchildren, William, Gabriella, Kyra, Annabella, and Kenna, of Troy, Michigan; her uncle and aunt, Junior (Red) and Kay Wingard; and many cousins and loving friends.

A Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Friday, June 24, 2022 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond, 733 West Granada Boulevard, Ormond Beach, FL 32174. A Celebration of Life will be held at Central Baptist Church, 142 West Fairview Avenue, Daytona Beach, FL 32114, on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at 3 PM, with a Reception to follow in the Central Baptist Social Hall. Everyone is cordially welcome to attend.
