Obituary

Beryl Twitty Farney age 73 passed away peacefully on March 9, 2026 in Port Orange Florida born on January 9, 1953 in Sebring, Florida Beryl lived the life of faith love and dedication to her family and community. She was the daughter of the late Judson Hand Twitty and Jannette Hancock Twitty. Beryl was also predeceased by her sister Elise Ross, her brother James Twitty and his wife Susan Pressley Twitty, a devoted member of the first United Methodist Church of Port Orange since 1981 Beryls Faith was Central to her life. She sang alto in the church choir participated in mission trips volunteered for numerous projects and served on various committees her church family provided enduring friendships and support throughout her life and during her journey with dementia Beryl worked as a cosmetologist for 50 years building lasting relationships with colleagues and clients through her creativity and dedication. She also had a passion for travel and enjoying motorcycle trips through Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee as well as RV adventures, exploring national parks across the East and West Coast at the same time she cherished the joys of being at home Beryl survived by her loving husband 47 years Stephen Farney of Port Orange, her sister Leda Christle of Moore Haven, Florida Leda's daughter's Brandy Seider and Erin Christle, son Tiger Crum, her brother William Bill Twitty and his wife Lisa, their children, Hannah Clifton and husband John Hardie, son Judson Twitty, cousin Tommy Martin and his wife Sandy and many extended family members. She is also survived by her husband Stephen Farney, his sister Marian Buckman, husband David, brothers Carl Farney, wife Jackie, Clifford Farney, David Farney, wife Lynda, and Jeffery Farney and her comfort dog Rona. Her circle of love extended to special friends, Sarah Chapman, Randy and Tammy Wilson, Susan Eichler, Rick and Lorilyn Prioletti, Julie Osburn, Wayne and Kim Barrs, Brenda Coury, Connie and Richard Thiel, Bill Beebe, Barbara Willis, Richard and Linda Feiler, Kay Luzier, Bev and Jim McGregor and all the girls at the Beville Salon as well as her dedicated caregiver Kelly Gibbs and Myia. A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date. Beryl will  be remembered for her generosity, humor, faithfulness in the love shared with all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Halifax Health Hospice Center, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129
