Bertha Katherine ?Tennessee Katie? van der Vlugt 55 of Flagler Beach FL died Friday March 17 2006 at Florida Hospital Ormond Memorial.

Katie was born June 22 1946 in Paris IL to George and Katherine Goding van der Vlugt and moved to this area 23 years ago and worked in real estate managing several large condominiums in New Smyrna Beach. Katie loved life and enjoyed traveling. She was known for her lively spirit and was considered a character by many. Above all Tennessee Katie was a woman of the people and had many friends. She will live on forever in the hearts of her family and extended family including her brother Gerard Jerry and sister in law Carole van der Vlugt of Burns TN niece Audra Pinson and her husband Bill of Nashville TN Nephew Mark and his wife Erika van der Vlugt of San Antonio TX and her lifelong friend Betsy Pilgreen and her husband Rick. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Joanna Barrow. A celebration of Katie?s life will be held at a later date to be announced.
