Memorial service for Bernice Marie Smith 90 of Halifax Ave in Daytona will be Saturday 2-19-05 at 10:00 AM in the chapel of Lohman Ormond Funeral Home with Pastor Roger Moore officiating. Her family will receive friends in the lobby of the funeral home from 9:00 till time of service. Mrs. Smith was born in Canton Ohio and moved to this area in 1947. She was the treasurer and vice-president of Daytona Beach federal Savings and Loan Assoc. for 32 years before retiring in 1977. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church and enjoyed traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband Ira Glenn Smith 2 brothers Austin ?Jack? and George Cranston 2 sisters Marian Brisendine and Jeanne Pentland. Bernice is survived by her daughter Margaret Walker and her husband George Thomas of New Smyrna Beach her brother Carl J. Cranston of Port Orange her sister Eileen Howell of Daytona 1 granddaughter Michelle Weaver and her husband Robert and 2 great grandchildren Samantha and Colton Weaver. She will also be sadly missed by her dear friend Janne Gregoire. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Hospice of Vol/Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange 32129.
