Bernice Carson, 86, former longtime resident of Port Orange, passed away on February 28, 2017 in Knoxville, TN. A Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Tuesday March 7, 2017 at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona. The Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday March 8, 2017 in the chapel at Lohman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Daytona Memorial Park, 1425 Bellevue Avenue. Bernice was born on April 22, 1930 in Knoxville, TN to the late Carl and Hazel Green. She owned and operated an Auto parts store in Port Orange as well as working at the Daytona Beach Flea Market. She loved painting and animals. Bernice was a special lady that loved life. If you were lucky enough to be her friend, in her eyes you were family. Survivors include her sisters, Doris Flynn and Brenda McMahan; numerous nieces and nephews; her Flea Market friends and her Port Orange friends, all of which she considered family. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband of 46 years, Robert; a brother, Joe Green; and two sisters, Charlotte Yanniello and Martha Jean Richards.
