Bernadine M. Plienis was born in Holly Michigan and moved to this area 2½ years ago from Parkersburg West Virginia. She served in the US Air Force from 1951 to 1953. Bernadine enjoyed being a foster parent and enjoyed her volunteer work. She was a member of the Gideons Auxiliary and a devout Christian.

She is survived by her husband Alvin of 17 years her 3 sisters Barbara Lockwood of Hazel Park MI; Etta Lynn Albright of Holly Hill FL; Donella Holsinger of Millington MI; her step granddaughter Sandra and her husband Dan Weyer; and her great grandsons Christopher and Daniel Weyer.

She was predeceased by her brother William E. Boice.
