Bernadette A. McCormick, 59, of Port Orange passed away Friday at home surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Newark, New Jersey she was the daughter of Gerard and Esther Albertine,
Bernadette moved to Florida in 1979, met the love of her life John McCormick and has been married for 29 years. She worked and retired from the 5th District Appellate Court where she was a legal assistant for 30 years.
Bernadette's love for gardening, cooking and the beach was only surpassed by the love and affection she had for her family and her friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted husband John, son Michael (Jacqueline), daughter Kathryn, brother Gerard Albertine, and adopted sister and friend Linda Gianguzzi, grandchildren; Aliyah and Cameron, as well as 11 brothers and sisters in law and 16 nieces and nephews. Bernadette's Family will receive friends Tuesday June 24, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lohman Funeral Home 1201 Dunlawton Ave Port Orange FL 32127. A funeral Mass will be held at the Basilica of St. Paul on Wednesday June 25 at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in her memory.
