Obituary

A Gathering and Celebration of Life for Benjamin " Capt. Ben" Boswell who passed away Monday Jan. 4 2010 will be held on Friday Jan. 8th at 3pm with remembrances offered by Chaplain Mark Spivey. Ben was born in Lexington KY and traveled throughout the U.S. to Virginia California and Florida with his parents. He attended several military academies including Stetson Military Academy in St. Petersburg. He settled in this area in the early 60's and has resided in Flagler Beach for the past 15 years. Ben was drawn to the sea at an early age and was both a boat builder as well as a boat captain. He and his wife Mary spent much of their past 30 years enjoying boating and traveling together Ben was a licensed Coast Guard captain and took pride in building and repairing sailboats as well as delivering them up and down the eastern seaboard. Prior to his boating career he owned and operated a TV repair business. Ben's easy going Margaritaville style was enjoyed by his family and friends and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Mary of Flagler Beach his daughter Lisa Moore of Jacksonville FL his 5 grandchildren: Mandy Kinzey of Orlando FL Kristin Kinzey of Jacksonville FL Ambria Sauvier and Charlene Moore of Alaska and James Walker of Oregon; 2 great grandchildren Cole and Alexandra Giles of Alaska and his Aunt Bridget Strickland of Flagler Beach FL.
