Beatrice Fleischer of Port Orange passed away April 24 2013. A Gathering in Beatrice's honor will be held Saturday May 25 2013 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm with a Prayer Service starting promptly at 4:30 pm.

Beatrice was born in Yonkers New York on January 30th 1925. Her parents Samuel and Ethel Feiner emigrated from Hungary and founded S. Feiner Decorators a specialty shop known for selling fine linens and custom bedding and draperies. As a young teenager Beatrice worked in the family business. She met Jack Strassman also from Yonkers. They married in 1944 and later moved to Hartsdale New York where they raised four children. They were married for 17 years.

Beatrice went on to marry Captain Ed Fleischer. They later moved to Daytona Beach Florida in 1976 where she opened another home decorating shop called Home Fashion Center with her son Steven.
Capt. Ed Fleischer ran a charter boat in Ponce Inlet. Beatrice always loved boating and fishing and eventually became a licensed captain herself. She was an extraordinary business woman who later expanded her expertise to become a licensed real estate broker.

One of Beatrice's hobbies was painting. Her oil paintings are truly masterful and inspired. Throughout her life time she had created many beautiful portraits and landscapes that her family greatly cherishes.

Over the last 21 years Beatrice met and lived with the love of her life Peter Sartoretti. Pete was her true soul mate and the beacon of her life. Pete gave her the will to live especially in the last years of her life when she was quite ill. His devotion and adoration were unfailing.

Beatrice was a loving mother and gave her children the freedom and opportunities to do the things that they loved. She was blessed with four grandchildren Rachel and Jessica Fleischer Bradley and Jacqueline Strassman.

Beatrice is survived by her four children; Roy Strassman residing in Northern California Sheryl Fleischer in Los Angeles Steve Strassman in Heathrow Florida and Robert and wife Toni Strassman in Longwood Florida and by her soul mate and loving partner Peter Sartoretti.
