Barbara A. Zottoli 84 of Port Orange passed away June 3 2009. A memorial service will be held on Friday June 5th at 10:30am at Our Lady of Hope 4675 S. Clyde Morris Blvd Port Orange where she was a member. Barbara was born in Newport Rhode Island on January 27 1925. She received her Bachelors Degree from Annhurst College and began her career in Connecticut teaching High School English Spanish and Latin. In 1967 she and her family moved to Miami Florida where she spent most of her time as a homemaker and substitute teacher. In 1993 Barbara relocated to Port Orange with her late husband Lawrence to whom she was married 43 years. In her spare time she could be found playing the piano doing crossword puzzles or baking. Barbara was a very kind compassionate woman who was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She will be dearly remembered as being a woman of class dignity and poise. She will be truly missed by her family and those who had the honor of knowing her. Barbara is survived by her sons Peter L. Zottoli of Port Orange Dr. Lawrence F. Zottoli Jr. (Nelia) of Savannah GA; daughter Maryann O'Brien of Port Orange; brother William Rogers Jr. (Marian) of New London CT; sister Ann (Roger) Sullivan of Bluffton SC and five grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her name to Hospice of Volusia Flagler 3800 Woodbriar Trail Port Orange.
