Barbara Ann Bourcier Stephens 79 widow of Henry M. (Mel) Stephens of Palm Coast FL passed away on September 11 2011 at Florida Hospital Flagler. The family will receive friends on Thursday Sept. 15th between the hours of 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Lohman Funeral Home 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW Palm Coast. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday Sept. 16th at 2:00 pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 4600 Belle Terre Pkwy Palm Coast. Interment will be held on Monday Sept. 19th at 2:30 pm at Florida National Cemetery Bushnell. Barbara was a native of Springfield MA and relocated to Palm Coast in 1979 from Atlanta GA. She was a homemaker a parishioner at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church where she was the Past President of the Women's Guild a Cursillista and a member of numerous prayer groups. As a person who was devoted to Our Lady she founded Gospa Florida over 20 years ago to take others on pilgrimage to Medjugorje and other Marian shrines. She was a 30-year breast cancer survivor and volunteered for Reach to Recovery collected medical relief for Bosnia and Haiti spoke several languages and was a loving wife mother and grandmother. She is survived by her son Patrick Stephens Palm Coast daughter Valerie (Bryan) Leake Pulaski VA a step-son Robert (Diane) Stephens Haleiwa HI nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
