Barbara Rucker age 72 a retired school teacher died June 9th after a short illness. Mrs. Rucker taught at numerous schools in her career including schools in New Haven KY Covington KY Harrison OH and most of her career at the Lincoln Jr. High in Charleston WV as well as the Volusia County school system in Fl. Mrs. Rucker moved here in 1995 from Charleston WV. She was the wife of the late Dr. Arnold Rucker. She was an artist and avid reader and also enjoyed following the University of Kentucky Basketball. She was also a member of the Women of the Moose. Survivors include two sons Kevin Rucker of Ormond Beach FL and Scott Rucker of Columbia SC. two grandsons Charles and Kurtis Rucker. Brothers Maynard Cook of Edgewood KY Ralph Cook Jr. of Elizabeth NC and Richard Cook of Gainsville FL. Remembrances may be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.
