Rose Barbara L. 77 passed away on Tuesday November 28 2007. She was born March 24 1930 in Jeffrey WV and moved to the Daytona area in 1959 with her husband. Mrs. Rose was a very caring person and shared a very personal relationship with the Lord and even traveled to the Holy Land to be baptized in the Jordan River. Mrs. Rose hosted a prayer group in her home every Thursday night and was a faithful and original member of New Life Church in Port Orange. She had a great sense of humor loved to travel take cruises and loved to fish. Mrs. Rose is predeceased by her loving and devoted husband of 48 years Luther R. Rose. Mrs. Rose is survived by her four brothers; Michael (Pamela) Kingrey of Palm Bay Sidney(Alice) Kingrey of Palm Bay Paul David (Mary) Kingrey of Palm Bay and Phillip ( Beverly) Kingrey of Bobwhite WV; her four sisters; Rosalie (Jimmie) Stollings of Pecksmill WV Betty (George) Bryant of St. Cloud Rebecca (Dean) Taylor of Plymouth OH and Shelvey ( Larry) Hossler of Attica OH; her three sons; Danny Rose of Greer SC Robert L. (Carrie) Rose of Tampa Luther R. Rose Jr. of Greer SC; her two daughters; Arveda (Bill) Reynolds of Winter Haven and Bonnie (Reg) Lanagan of Maryville TN; ten grandchildren; Gloria (Joshua) Rose of Charlotte NC Robert L. Rose II of Tampa William C. (Laura)Reynolds Jr. of Winter Haven Evan W. (Kim) Reynolds of Winter Haven Karen Lanagan of Maryville TN Aaron Rose of Tampa Jason (Carrie) Lanagan of Maryville TN Suzanne Lanagan of Maryville TN Daniel Rose of Greer SC and Courtney Rose of Tampa; and nine great-grandchildren; Sayge Layne Nolan Addison Betty Lou Summer MyKala Ian and Lily. Visitation for Mrs. Rose will be on Monday December 3 2007 from 10:00 am until 12 noon in the chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Daytona with a 12 noon service immediately following with Pastor Kenneth Hope officiating.
Burial will take place after service in Daytona Memorial Park.
