Barbara Lynn Morningstar 64 passed away with family at her side on August 13 2013. A celebration of her life will be held on Friday August 16 2013 at 1:00 P.M at Hope Lutheran Church 594 N Williamson Blvd Daytona Beach FL 32114 with Pastor Schmidt presiding over the services. Barbara was born March 12 1949 in Hackensack NJ to Claire and Sylvia Morningstar. At a young age her family along with brothers Dain and Todd moved to Michigan where she lived most of her life. Later in her life Barbara found her true love and married her husband Jim. She also answered the call to become a teacher. After receiving her Bachelor's degree in English along with a minor in History she became a teacher with Volusia County School District at Deltona and Creekside Middle Schools. Barbara will be remembered as an avid reader a woman who could make friends with anyone in an instance and loving her family unconditionally. She was also a fan of golfing with her husband. However that loss was most profound to the children she taught and especially to those who never had the opportunity to learn from her and her life's lessons.' Barbara will be sadly missed by her Husband of ten years Jim Woods. Her loving sons Matt Leggat and Adam Leggat. Her devoted grandson Kyle Leggat and her fond brothers Dain (Joanne) Morningstar and Todd (Kari) Morningstar. Barbara is preceded in death by her parents Claire "Ted" and Sylvia.
