Barbara "Bobbi" Meyer, 82, of Ormond Beach, Florida passed away peacefully at Halifax Health Hospice Care Center, Ormond Beach. On Thursday, July 26, 2018. She was born January 16, 1936 in Alachua, Florida to Maxwell and Jewel (Clark) Matthews.

She was a Service Dispatcher at Ferran Services for a number of years. After retiring in 2001 she traveled extensively in both the US and abroad and spent half a year touring the western United States and traveling to Alaska and Canada. She belonged to The Fraternal Order of Eagles and several other social clubs. She loved to garden both here in Florida, and at a second home in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Perhaps her favorite hobby was feeding and watching the birds and other wildlife at both of her homes.

Survivors include her children Linda Longfritz of Port Orange, Florida, Gwen Simmons and Lisa Roberson, both of Ormond Beach, Florida, Cindy Pilkington and husband Ken of Upwey, Australia, her sister Juanita Wolf and brothers Frank Matthews and Jack Matthews, eleven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter and two great-great grandsons expected before the end of this year. She was preceded in death by parents and brothers Donald (Buddy) and Maxwell (Butch) Matthews. A Service of Remembrance will be celebrated on Saturday, August 4th at 1:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home; 733 W. Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Bobbi's memory to: Halifax Health Hospice. Arrangements are under the care of Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach.
