Barbara Hutchinson 72 of Edgewater went home to be with her Lord and Savior May 27 2008. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Monday June 2 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church with Pastor Donn Dobberstein officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service and interment will be held at 2:30 pm in Edgewater New Smyrna Cemetery. Barbara was born on August 22 1935 to the late Cleum and Anna Tegtmeier in Chicago IL. She graduated from University of Wisconsin Madison and excelled in Clinical Science. She worked at University of Florida Gainesville Syracuse University in New York and Hershey Medical Center-Penn State. After a long and faithful career she retired to Edgewater. Barbara loved to travel and was an avid Chicago Cubs and NASCAR fan. An active member of her church she also served on the building committee. Prior to her illness she taught computer classes at New Smyrna Beach Senior Center. Barbara will be remembered for her love of the Lord and church her generosity and for her laboratory management abilities. Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her longtime co-worker and close friend Suzanne (Charles) Colver and many other dear friends and extended family members. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in honor of Barbara to her church building fund 1715 Taylor Rd Port Orange FL 32128 or to the American Cancer Society.
