Austin E. McKeand 68 of Ormond Beach passed away suddenly on September 13 2009. A funeral service for him will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday September 17 2009 at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond 733 West Granada Blvd. Ormond Beach with entombment to follow at Daytona Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday September 16 from 5-7 p.m. Born on May 11 1941 in West Virginia Austin moved to Ormond Beach in 1969 from Ohio. He was employed by Publix Super Markets Inc. for 29 years retiring from management in 1999. He is survived by a large devoted family including his loving wife of 39 years Darlyne McKeand; daughter Carla McKeand and daughter-in-law Jen Trudell of Oak Park IL; daughter Daryna McKeand Tobey son-in-law Jonathan Tobey and granddaughter Julia Tobey of Mount Kisco NY; and brothers Wincel McKeand of Doylestown OH and Russell McKeand of Fairfield CA. Austin will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
