Dr. Aurencio Ward Seguritan son of Maximo Seguritan and Teodora Oarde was born on April 21 1942 in Bambang Nueva Vizcaya Philippines. From a young age Dr. Seguritan excelled in school being named Valedictorian at Saint Catherine's Grade School and Salutatorian at Saint Catherine's High School. He attended St. Mary's College than continued to the University of Santo Tomas in Manila for medical school. While in school he met and married Casilda Canero Salazar in 1964. After graduating in 1968 he left the Philippines to do an internship at St. Elizabeth Hospital in New Jersey. He then brought his wife and two sons Ven and Mikhail to the U.S. in 1970. Dr. Seguritan eventually became certified as a Diplomate of the American Board of Emergency Medicine spending most of his career at Southampton Hospital in Long Island New York. Dr. Seguritan was the beloved father of five a wonderful husband an avid painter and ballroom dancer. Dr. Seguritan is survived by his wife Casilda. He is also survived by and took great pride in the achievements of his children: Desiree a visual artist and dancer and her husband Wayland; Aurencio Jr. an accountant; Patrick a lawyer; Mikhail a dentist; Ven a physician and his wife Mona; and grandson Maxwell.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Lohman Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held on Wednesday and Thursday May 16 and 17 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. with a vigil scheduled at 7 p.m. on both days. A mass will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Friday May 18th at 10:00 a.m. Inurnment will occur on Monday May 21st at 1:00 p.m. at the Columbarium.
