Audrey B.
Hartman
May 18, 1943 — May 15, 2021
Ormond Beach
Audrey Brodigan Hartman, 77, of Ormond Beach FL, a retired Registered Nurse, died peacefully on May 15th in her home. A funeral service in her honor will be held Thursday June 3rd 2021 at 2:00 pm at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond Beach Chapel 733 W. Granada Blvd., Ormond Beach; family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 2:00pm. Born in Bay Ridge Brooklyn NY Audrey attended Fontbonne High School before moving to Daytona Beach in 1958 where she graduated from Mainland High School in 1961 and went on to graduate from St. Vincent School of Nursing in Jacksonville in 1964. That was where she met her loving husband Gary. They married in 1965 at Basilica of St. Paul Catholic Church, Daytona Beach and enjoyed 44 years together before Gary's passing in 2010. Their life together in the Navy took them several places including London England, Washington DC, Madrid Spain and Newport RI. This helped shape her love for travel, entertaining, foreign culture and languages. She was especially fond of her time in Spain and could always be counted on to recall stories from time spent there and the Spanish language was with her thru to the end. In retirement she enjoyed time with her fellow Buc Girls at Breakfasts and Lunches, trips and excursions with the Red Hatters, and dances at the local Order of the Moose and Eagles Lodge. Audrey ("Tuney" to several family members) is survived by her loving daughter Karen and her husband Chris Bollinger of Slidell LA; sister Hope Laney her son TJ and his wife Julie and their son Ryan of Daytona Beach; her brother-in-law Roger Hartman and his wife Mary of Annandale VA and their children John and Ellen; as well as Audrey's baby girl dachshund "Chloe". She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Hartman; mother Audrey Couco; stepfather Michael Couco and several loved pets including Albert, Boris, Baron and Clancy. It's impossible to list everyone but Audrey's family would like give thanks to the staff at Absolute Healthcare and Kindred Hospice for helping take such great care of Audrey in the final months in her own home as she wished; and to her friend Carole Reddish for the amazing help caring for Chloe throughout many years of challenges. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Audrey's memory to the Halifax Humane Society (2364 W. LPGA Blvd. Daytona Beach FL 32124). Arrangements under the careful direction of Lohman Funeral Homes Ormond Beach. Condolences for the family may be shared at www.lohmanfuneralhomes.com .
