Atlas Henry Smith, Jr. 72, of Palm Coast passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2014. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 at 4:00pm at Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast, 220 Palm Coast Parkway SW, Palm Coast, FL. Family will receive friends Friday, November 7, 2014 from 3:00pm to 4:00pm. Burial will be Monday, November 10, 2014 at 9:30am at Jacksonville National Cemetery with Navy Honors present.

Atlas was born on June 17, 1942 in Illinois to Atlas and Pauline Smith. He graduated from high school in Nowata, OK. Atlas served his country proudly as a Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy and retired after 20 years of service. He was an educator, musician, metalsmith and a beloved husband and father.

He is survived by his loving wife Lillian Susie Smith; daughter Holy (Arson) Barrutia; sons Brian (Karyl) Smith, Michael Smith; grandchildren Ariel and Clair Barrutia, and brother James T. (Earlene) Smith. He is preceded in death by his son Boyd Smith; parents Atlas and Pauline Smith.

Arrangements are under the care of Lohman Funeral Home Palm Coast.
