Cremation Service as per Hindu Rites for Ashok P. Sawkar of Holly Hill FL who passed away Thursday July 19 2007 at the age of 67 will be held on Saturday July 21 2007 at 2:00 PM in the chapel at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Cremation rites will take place Saturday at 3:00 PM at Volusia Crematory. His family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 3:00 Noon to 2:00 PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Ashok was born in Pune India on May 28 1940. He was a loving father and husband and will be missed by his family and friends. He was a great leader in Indian Community of Daytona Beach. He is survived by his beloved wife Kalpana his affectionate daughter Dr. Bella Sawkar and her husband Dr. Mikul Shah all of Holly Hill and 6 brothers Arvindbhai Mohanbhai Shashikantbhai Manharlabhai Bupendrabhai Anilbhai and 5 sisters Smitaben Rasilaben Taraben Kusumben NavilbenArvind Sawkar and Shashikant Sawkar of India and niece Darshana of Dallas Texas.. He will be greatly missed by his brother in laws Sunita/Manhar Sheth Bhupendra Sheth of Toronto Canada Anil and sister in laws Tara Smita Rasila Naval and Kusum of India.
