Funeral Service for Arthur R. Cavanaugh Sr. 70 of Ormond Beach who passed away on Sunday April 30th will be held Thursday May 4th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church with Fr. Ryan officiating. His family will receive friends on Wednesday May 3rd from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Lohman Funeral Home Ormond. Arthur was born on December 9 1935 in Washington DC and moved to this area with his family in 1978 from Maryland. He was a member of St. Brendan Roman Catholic Church and was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus. Arthur was a retired firefighter for the Federal Government in Washington DC. He was a former employee of Daytona Beach Community College. Arthur enjoyed spending time with his family and was loved by everyone who knew him. He was a man of quick wit and humor and a wonderful storyteller. Arthur is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Joan his son John his daughters Katey Cavanaugh Kelly Lowe Caroline Vickers and Colleen Carrozza all of Ormond Beach his brothers Tom Bill Robert and Moose his sisters Betty and Mary and his grandchildren Ryan Danny Erin Chrissy Carrie Stephanie Artie III Casey Cory Ronnie Kelly Mason Andrew and Brett.
