Ardith Ann Hayes the daughter of the late Verne and Bethine Nash entered eternal life on January 6 2006 at the Hospice Care Center in Port Orange Florida. Ardith was born in Sioux City Iowa on October 10 1939. Her parents moved East and in 1955 Ardith settled in Westport Connecticut. During her 40 years in Westport Ardith lived in many settings. Her fondest was living at Old Mill Beach where she enjoyed the seashore. She was a book lover and an avid reader. Many of her fondest memories were of working at Waldenbooks and the Westport Library. She moved to Daytona Beach in 1999 and was a passionate volunteer for the Holly Hills Library and the Halifax Humane Society. She truly enjoyed reading gardening cooking and spending time with her family friends and her cats. She is survived by her daughters Sheila Fus and her husband Joe of Fairfield CT and Dr. Cara Jakob her husband Kevin and Ardith?s beloved grandson Collin Jakob of Clermont FL. A private remembrance will take place at the convenience of the family.
